Packing and Shipping
The main transformer tank is secured to a reinforced steel or wooden base designed for heavy-load transportation. High-strength bolts, steel straps, anti-slip blocks, and vibration-damping pads are used to stabilize the unit. Structural supports and corner protection safeguard the transformer against impact during handling. A complete set of technical documents, including test certificates, operation manuals, wiring diagrams, and packing lists, is placed inside a sealed waterproof folder attached to the transformer body.
Depending on project requirements and destination, multiple transport modes can be arranged. For export shipments, the transformer can be loaded onto flat rack containers, open-top containers, or breakbulk vessels. For land transportation, heavy-duty trailers with secure tie-down points ensure safe delivery to remote sites. All lifting points are clearly marked, and lifting lugs or forklift channels are engineered for safe handling using cranes or forklifts.
Environmental conditions, including sea humidity, road vibration, and long-distance handling, are fully considered. Rust-prevention coatings and oil-filled protection ensure that internal components remain secure throughout transit. The entire packing and shipping process complies with ISO, IEC, and international maritime regulations, guaranteeing that the 45kV 2500kVA transformer arrives in perfect condition, ready for installation and commissioning.
Manufacturer Test
Progress Test
During production, the 45kV 2500kVA Weatherproof & Oven-Proof Oil-Immersed Power Transformer undergoes multi-stage Progress Tests to ensure manufacturing accuracy and component reliability. Each step includes core lamination inspections, coil winding tension control, insulation layer measurement, and mechanical assembly verification. Electrical tests such as DC resistance measurement, turns ratio validation, insulation resistance, partial discharge testing, and intermediate withstand voltage tests are performed to detect early faults. Oil purification and vacuum drying tests verify dielectric strength and moisture removal. Dimensional checks, fastening inspections, and surface treatment assessments further guarantee build quality. These progressive inspections ensure that every component meets engineering and safety standards before final assembly and FAT testing.
Design Tests
All transformer will be test after finished the production, test items as below:
♦ Insulation Power Factor
♦ Ratio, Polarity, and Phase Relation
♦ Winding Resistance
♦ Impulse Tests
♦ On load Loss Test
♦ No Load Loss Test
♦ Leak Test
♦ DC Insulation Resistance Test
♦ Transformer Turns Ratio/TTR (All Tap Voltages)
♦ Impedance Voltage & Load Loss (Rated Voltage)
♦ Polarity, 1-Ph / Phase Relation, 3-Ph (Rated Voltage)
♦ Excitation & No-Load Loss (Rated Voltage)
♦ Applied Voltage
♦ Induced Voltage
♦ Lightning Impulse
♦ Insulation Resistance (Rated Voltage)
♦ Temperature Rise
♦ Dielectric Withstand (Hipot)
Transformer Factory Acceptance Test
Before shipment, the 45kV 2500kVA Weatherproof & Oven-Proof Oil-Immersed Power Transformer undergoes a comprehensive Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) in accordance with IEC 60076. The FAT includes winding resistance measurement, ratio, and vector group verification, no-load loss and load loss measurement, insulation resistance testing, induced overvoltage test, applied high-voltage withstand test, and partial discharge assessment. Mechanical tests verify tank strength, pressure performance, cooling efficiency, and accessory functionality. Additional checks include dielectric oil quality analysis, tap changer operation, protection device calibration, and enclosure integrity confirmation. The FAT ensures the transformer meets all performance, safety, and environmental requirements before leaving the factory.
Routine Test - Polarity 1-Ph
Voltage source: usually 500 V, 1000 V or customized as needed
Environmental monitoring: Temperature and humidity meter (records ambient temperature and humidity)
Check the connection terminals and wiring to ensure that there is no looseness or contamination.
Test under suitable environmental conditions: relative humidity less than 75% and no rain (recommended temperature: 20-30°C).
Connect the test equipment to the bushing or terminal of the device under test and ensure proper grounding.
Apply Test Voltage:
Select the appropriate test voltage according to the rated voltage of the device. For single-phase systems, the applied voltage should comply with the equipment specifications (such as 220V or 380V, etc.).
Phase sequence: Confirm whether the phase sequence of the power supply is correct.
Polarity: Check whether the wiring meets the predetermined polarity (positive and negative terminals are connected correctly).
Voltage: The actual voltage value during the test.

FAQ From Customers
-
What is a Transformer?A transformer is an electrical device used to change the voltage of alternating current (AC). It works on the principle of electromagnetic induction, converting high-voltage current into low-voltage current or low-voltage current into high-voltage current. Transformers are widely used in power transmission, distribution systems, and various electronic devices.
-
What are the main uses of a transformer? The main use of a transformer is voltage conversion. Transformers are used in power transmission systems to help transfer electricity from power plants to consumers. In addition, transformers are also used in electronic devices such as chargers, televisions, power adapters, etc., to adjust the voltage to meet the requirements of different devices.
