Packing and Shipping
The transformer chamber, medium-voltage switchgear compartment, and low-voltage distribution section are internally reinforced using heavy-duty support structures to minimize vibration and movement during road transportation, railway shipment, or container loading operations. External surfaces are protected with industrial waterproof wrapping film, anti-scratch protective layers, reinforced corner guards, and heavy-duty fastening systems to maintain structural integrity during long-distance transportation. Integrated lifting lugs and forklift channels are designed to improve loading efficiency and simplify unloading operations at project sites and logistics terminals.
Depending on project requirements and shipping destinations, the compact substation can be transported using steel-frame packaging, skid-mounted structures, fumigation-free export wooden crates, or direct container fastening methods compliant with international transportation standards. Additional anti-condensation protection, anti-vibration reinforcement systems, and marine-grade salt spray protection measures are available for projects located in coastal areas, tropical climates, mining regions, or remote installation environments requiring extended transportation durations.
Shipping documentation generally includes factory inspection certificates, wiring diagrams, operation manuals, packing lists, electrical schematics, quality inspection reports, and export compliance certifications. Customers may additionally request multilingual labels, customized shipping marks, installation guidance documents, and project-specific logistics coordination services. The complete packing and shipping procedure is designed to preserve equipment reliability, reduce transportation risks, and ensure safe delivery to the final installation location.
Manufacturer Test
Progress Test
The 11kV 800kVA Prefabricated Compact Substation undergoes a multi-stage progress testing procedure designed to maintain strict manufacturing consistency and dependable long-term performance. The testing process begins with enclosure structural verification, transformer tank inspection, coating thickness analysis, and dimensional tolerance measurement to ensure mechanical strength and environmental durability under outdoor operating conditions. Electrical verification procedures include dielectric testing, control circuit simulation, relay protection logic testing, breaker synchronization inspection, and communication protocol verification. Functional simulations are performed to evaluate substation response under overload, short-circuit, grounding fault, and emergency shutdown conditions. Transformer accessories such as oil level indicators, thermal alarms, pressure relief devices, and fault warning systems are additionally tested for reliable operational performance.
Design Tests
All transformers will be tested after finishing the production, test items as follows:
♦ Insulation Power Factor
♦ Ratio, Polarity, and Phase Relation
♦ Winding Resistance
♦ Impulse Tests
♦ On load Loss Test
♦ No Load Loss Test
♦ Transformer Turns Ratio/TTR (All Tap Voltages)
♦ Impedance Voltage & Load Loss (Rated Voltage)
♦ Polarity, 1-Ph / Phase Relation, 3-Ph (Rated Voltage)
♦ Excitation & No-Load Loss (Rated Voltage)
♦ Applied Voltage
♦ Induced Voltage
♦ Lightning Impulse
♦ Insulation Resistance (Rated Voltage)
♦ Temperature Rise

Factory Acceptance Test
The transformer Factory Acceptance Test program for the 11kV 800kVA Prefabricated Compact Substation is designed to guarantee manufacturing quality consistency and reliable field operation in utility and industrial electrical systems. The testing procedure begins with visual inspections and dimensional verification of the transformer tank, bushings, cooling radiators, grounding terminals, enclosure coating quality, and auxiliary device installation to ensure conformity with approved engineering drawings. Protective devices and auxiliary systems including pressure relief valves, oil level indicators, Buchholz relays, thermal protection devices, alarm systems, and cooling fans are functionally tested to verify reliable operation during abnormal electrical conditions. Intelligent communication modules, SCADA interfaces, and remote monitoring systems are also tested for projects requiring digital power management and smart-grid integration functionality.
Routine Test - Transformer Turns Ratio/TTR (All Tap Voltages)
Voltage source: usually AC 10 V to 30 V , used to test different voltages for each tap.
Temperature and humidity meter: used to record environmental conditions during the test to ensure test accuracy.
Current probe: used to measure the load current of the winding and ensure the accuracy of the test results.
Perform the test under suitable environmental conditions: relative humidity below 75% and no rain (recommended temperature: 20-30°C). Avoid high humidity or bad weather that may affect the test accuracy.
The voltage ratio between the windings
Deviation of the measured value from the rated ratio
0.5% < Turns ratio error ≤ 1% (caution)
Turns ratio error > 1% (further inspection or corrective action required)

FAQ From Customers
-
What is a Transformer?A transformer is an electrical device used to change the voltage of alternating current (AC). It works on the principle of electromagnetic induction, converting high-voltage current into low-voltage current or low-voltage current into high-voltage current. Transformers are widely used in power transmission, distribution systems, and various electronic devices.
-
What are the main uses of a transformer? The main use of a transformer is voltage conversion. Transformers are used in power transmission systems to help transfer electricity from power plants to consumers. In addition, transformers are also used in electronic devices such as chargers, televisions, power adapters, etc., to adjust the voltage to meet the requirements of different devices.
