30kVA Dry Type Transformer
Configure the 30kVA dry type transformer to precisely match indoor application demands with versatile options that enhance safety, efficiency, and integration. Primary voltage ranges cover low-voltage (240V-600V) or medium-voltage (6.6kV-11kV), including Delta or Wye connections, while secondary voltages support 208Y/120V, 480Y/277V, 400Y/230V, or custom configurations for specific load requirements. Winding materials allow aluminum for economical lightweight designs or copper for superior conductivity and thermal performance in high-duty cycles. Insulation systems offer Class F (155°C) for standard use or Class H (180°C) for elevated ambient temperatures, with temperature rise options of 150°C, 115°C, or 80°C for energy savings. Enclosure types include IP00 open ventilated, IP23 drip-proof, or IP54/IP55 enclosed with forced ventilation for dusty or humid environments. Additional features such as K-factor ratings (K4-K13) handle harmonic loads, forced air cooling (AF) for overload capability, or integrated PT100/thermocouple sensors for remote monitoring. These customizations optimize thermal management, noise reduction, and environmental adaptability, delivering a fire-safe, compliant transformer tailored for commercial and institutional power needs.
Further personalization includes enclosure finishes with anti-corrosion paints for coastal or chemical exposure, reinforced mounting bases for seismic zones, or accessory integrations like surge protection devices, harmonic filters, and digital temperature controllers. Core designs minimize no-load losses further, while low-noise fans and acoustic barriers suit sensitive locations. These extensive options make the 30kVA dry type transformer a highly adaptable, maintenance-free solution, ensuring regulatory compliance, reduced operational costs, and dependable performance in indoor distribution systems for offices, healthcare facilities, educational institutions, and light industrial settings.

Packing and Shipping

30kVA Dry Type Transformer
NPC ELECTRIC’s dry-type transformers are meticulously packaged for secure sea freight and long-distance transport, ensuring they arrive at their destination in perfect condition and ready for installation. For a 30kVA dry-type transformer, the packing and shipping process is carefully engineered to minimize the risk of damage during transit.
Each transformer is enclosed in a durable, weather-resistant wooden crate or steel-reinforced container, with internal cushioning materials such as high-density foam or shock-absorbing padding to protect against vibration, impact, and shifting. The packaging is designed to shield the transformer from moisture, dust, and other environmental factors that could compromise performance.
During shipping—whether by road, rail, or sea—the transformer is securely fastened to a pallet or transport platform using heavy-duty straps or tie-downs to prevent movement. Clear handling instructions, safety warnings, and directional indicators are prominently displayed on the packaging to ensure proper handling by logistics personnel.
All necessary shipping documentation is provided, including customs clearance paperwork, certificates of origin, and any required permits, ensuring full compliance with international transport regulations. Upon delivery, a thorough visual inspection is conducted to verify the transformer's integrity before installation.
This comprehensive packing and shipping process guarantees that the 30kVA dry-type transformer arrives safely and in optimal working condition, ready for reliable, long-term operation.
Environmental considerations drive packing choices, using recyclable timber and optimized crate designs to reduce carbon footprint. Impact and tilt recorders attached to crates record transit conditions, supporting post-arrival inspections and claims if required. Accessories such as sensors, fans, or enclosures ship separately with detailed checklists for onsite verification. Specialized carriers experienced in dry-type electrical equipment obtain necessary permits and follow rigorous safety protocols across road, rail, and sea routes.
Upon arrival, comprehensive support includes site preparation advice, unpacking guidelines, terminal connection torque specifications, and commissioning recommendations. This end-to-end logistics strategy safeguards transformer integrity, minimizes installation delays, and ensures rapid deployment in indoor power distribution projects worldwide.

Manufacturer Test

30kVA Dry Type Transformer
30kVA Dry type transformer Progress Test

Progress Test

NPC Electric manufactures high-quality three-phase dry-type transformers under strict quality control protocols. During production, a comprehensive Progress Test is conducted on each 30kVA unit to ensure full compliance with design specifications and quality standards. This process includes verification of core insulation, winding resistance, and dielectric strength. Key electrical components such as bushings, tap changers, and protection devices are also tested to confirm proper functionality. The transformer’s ability to withstand operational loads and voltage fluctuations is thoroughly assessed. Any deviations or issues identified are promptly addressed before proceeding to final testing. These rigorous progress tests ensure that every dry-type transformer delivered is safe, reliable, and fully prepared for real-world operation, while meeting all relevant industry standards.

Transformer Factory Acceptance Test

NPC Electric conducts rigorous quality control testing on every transformer or representative samples, as well as on specific components and materials, to ensure compliance with design specifications throughout the production process.
The Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) for a 30kVA three-phase dry-type transformer is a critical step performed before shipment to verify that the unit meets all applicable standards and delivers optimal performance. The FAT includes the following key procedures:
Visual Inspection: Evaluates the transformer’s physical condition, including the enclosure, terminals, and labeling, to ensure conformance with design and safety requirements.
Electrical Testing: Involves measuring winding resistance, insulation resistance, and performing turns ratio tests to validate electrical integrity and functionality.
These comprehensive tests ensure that each 30kVA dry-type transformer is safe, reliable, and fully compliant with industry standards, providing peace of mind before delivery and installation.

Routine Test - Insulation Power Factor

Purpose of Testing
The purpose of testing the insulation power factor is to evaluate the dielectric loss of the insulation system in electrical equipment, and to determine whether issues such as moisture ingress, aging, or contamination are present. A high power factor value usually indicates insulation deterioration.
Testing Equipment
Insulation power factor tester (e.g., brands like Doble, Megger) Voltage source (typically 1 kV, 2.5 kV, or 10 kV or as the customer request standard) Temperature and humidity meter (for recording environmental conditions)
Pre-Test Preparation
De-energize tap changer the equipment and ensure it has been properly grounded and discharged. Make sure the bushings and terminal connections to prevent surface contamination from affecting test results. Perform the test under suitable environmental conditions: relative humidity below 75% and no rain (recommended temperature: 20–30°C).
Test Progress
Connect the Test Instrument: Connect the test equipment to the bushings or terminals of the equipment under test and ensure proper grounding. Apply Test Voltage: Select the appropriate test voltage according to the rated voltage of the equipment (e.g., 25 kV for high-voltage windings or as the request of the pad mounted transformer).
Measure and Record
Start the test and record the following parameters: Capacitive current (IC) Power current (IW) Power factor (PF) or dissipation factor (Tanδ) Capacitance Ambient temperature and humidity at the time of testing
Temperature Correction
Correct the measured power factor to the reference temperature (typically 20°C) for accurate evaluation.
Repeat Testing (if necessary)
Measure different windings (high-voltage, medium-voltage, low-voltage) and bushings separately for comparative analysis.
Evaluation Criteria (Reference)
Insulation power factor ≤ 0.5% (Excellent) 0.5% < Power factor ≤ 1% (Good) 1% (Further inspection or corrective action required)
Test standard
IEEE C57.12.01 & IEEE C57.12.91 (Dry-Type)
*These comprehensive tests ensure that each transformer meets performance standards and operates reliably under various conditions.
